DAY PROGRAM

Day 1:
At 7:00 you will leave Paramaribo by bus and travel South towards the Afobakka dam of the reservoir lake where the boat awaits. Arrival is around 9:00u and around 9:30u we sail to Matu Island, where you will be received with a welcoming drink upon arrival. Then you will get a short tour of the island. Around 13:00u lunch will be served. This afternoon the main activities are swimming and/or fishing.

Day 2
After breakfast, we depart by boat to visit Lebi Doti. This is an authentic Maroon village that is situated on the east bank of the reservoir lake. In Lebi Doti you can experience the traditional Maroon way of life and their fascinating culture. In the afternoon there is time to relax in a cabin along the lake or take a boat trip to an uninhabited beautiful island with a white beach, where you can also catch a fish. In the evening you can enjoy a drink on the dock under a magnificent sky glittered with stars.

Day 3
On this day there is time to lay on the beach and/or take a quick dive in one of the two pools on the island. After lunch, which is around 13:00u the boat will depart for the Afobakka dam from where you will travel to Paramaribo.
